Tell me about it, Stud.
I have always LOVED studs, but right now I’m crack crazy for them. Anything stud related or that I think I could put studs on is something I have to have, like, now. I’ve always kicked myself for not buying Sam Edelman’s Josie studded booties, especially when they went on sale. I almost kicked myself for not buying his Roza shoes in nude, again, especially once they went on sale. Luckily for me, and not so luckily for my bank account and any extra cash I had lying around, I’d recently discovered eBay, so I managed to find them. The only thing missing is a heel insert, since the 6 was too small, and the 6 and 1/2 were just the teeniest fraction of an inch too big. Right now my newest and biggest love from Sam Edelman are the Heartbreaker boots. Leopard print AND STUDS. Can you say amazing? They’re just like the Pettys which are on every website that sells shoes, but these suckers are only available at Freepeople.com.

Unfortunately I do not have the capital to back that up, nor will I, since I have to start thinking about two very expensive design projects. One of which will most certainly include studs, and possibly velvet. I’m giving myself the challenge of working with two very unfamiliar fabrics (silk and velvet), because let’s face it, with the time I have available to me in a quarter system, there will be no other time than the present. I also know that I will take an extreme hiatus from anything sewing/pattern related after this nightmare of a college education is done. Pictures when I’m done, provided everything looks well enough.
Speaking of projects, I designed a denim and leather jacket (varsity style, and still unfinished) and little did I know, so had Rag and Bone, along with J Brand. Both are very cute and available at shopbop.com, around $500. A cheaper version is available at urbanoutfitters.com for around $70.
